High quality food and vacations come immediately to mind. Travel is a real priority to me - I'm not happy if I'm not looking forward to some kind of trip (at least once a year). Healthy, good foods DO seem to cost more, but I consider it an investment in my future good health, so that's on my list too. Plus, I REFUSE to buy crappy ice cream. I'll eat the good stuff or nothing

I, too, love eating out! I also LOVE going for coffee...Sitting there, sipping, and chatting with friends or reading a book!

Even though it is summer break now, I refuse to let my kids ride the bus to school. My weekly gas allowance is much more than it would be if they took the bus.

That's what lessons are fore (pun intended). Oh yeah, that just adds on moremoney to your already expensive hobby. Again, I can't say anything b/c if my wife would let me play every day, I would.

Sometimes it happens.... According to me it 500$ is not a big amount when compared to your happiness and the happiness of your wife... If you feel so guilty you can cut down your charges.....

Let's see, if you spend $500 a month golfing, that breaks down to roughly $16.67 a day and you work on your relationship with your wife, you get some exercise, and you have fun. Some people spend more than that to park their car each day, which isn't nearly as gratifying, so I wouldn't say that was that bad.

We have several cars to upkeep; they are off-roading cars and are old. They are also gas guzzlers. But we use them happily. When was the last time you were in a 58 Jeep Willys?

Hmmm I do believe we should have some sort of recreational activities but it must fit with our lifestyle. My yoga classes are quite costly but its the one thing that de-stresses me and its essential so I wont get burned out from work.

Vacations use to be a big thing for us, but we don't travel that much any more. Now, it is going out to eat dinner several times a week. However, we only spend about $100 a week on that and we eat out almost every night. We have a "date" every night!
