Virtual credit cards are single-use credit card numbers. Onece they have been used once, they can not be used again. They usually have a short expiration time - one or two months.
The basic logic for them is to stop scammers from getting your credit card information. It makes it harder if you use a different, random card number every time you shop online. These are online cards only. They can't be used in brick and mortar stores. |
