I drive my car which is a 2005 Ford Focus. 25MPG highway about.

- How far away are your workplaces?
14.5 miles one way.

- How much time on average do you and your spouse spend to get to your jobs and back?
It takes me 25 mins in the morning and up to an hour in the evening because of traffic. Mostly around 30mins in the afternoon, but sometimes it reaches an hour if there's an accident.

Live in Charlotte, NC... Used to drive 20-30 minutes each way to work here. City transit is not so big here and the city is pretty spread out so most people here drive to/from work.

But now I do consulting work... I work for myself, on my couch with my laptop... so my commute is about 20 steps from the bedroom to the living room or office.
