Default Cr. Card Co. steals again

I hate credit card companies. Yesterday I received my bill. It says to allow 9 days for mailing, only I only had 7 days til the due date on the day I got the statement in. I did call them, and they are willing to extend the due date 5 days.

Since I didn't really have enough time to insure my payment reached them in time, I had my husband make an internet payment of the minimum to allow adequate time for me payment to be posted. BIG MISTAKE! The company told me that by making a partial payment, it starts interest incurring even if my payment reaches them before the due date.

This explains why a few months ago I had to pay interest. I received a $300 credit from something I had returned. That started the interest clock, and I had to pay interest the following month even though I had paid in full.

That is terrible. I would call them and tell them to take the interest off. If they don't, switch CC companies. If your second payment arrived in time, they have no right to do so. If they are going to pull crap like that, take your business somewhere else.

Unfortunately, they can pretty much do anything they want so long as I have a balance. But I don't plan on using this card any more. They use to be my favorite. I'm goint to use another company that I always hated due to high rates and annual fees, which they no longer charge after I had called them to cancel the card (grin).

Dump the card. Do a balance transfer. Don't deserve your business,

Thanks for the advice moneyrant. I'm not going to use the card any more. I don't have a balance on it as i pay it off every month. It's just going to be a card sitting in limbo land. If they start charging an annual fee, I'll cancel it.

Thinking about not using any credit card. I am very mad at credit cards in general. If I don't use one, they lose their 3 percent profit. My revenge!
