...Now, three more to go. Before I signed up for debt consilidation over a year ago with a $5500 credit card debt, I'd never thought I'd be able to completely pay off any of my credit cards. Right now, my CC debt is down to about $1250 debt on the three remaining cards.
Boy, does it make me feel a little better about my financial journey. This is sort of an accomplishment for me. How can I celebrate, frugally? This site is a Godsend! moneymatters "The 20 yr old on her way to early retirement!" |

Congratulations! That is an awesome feat! I would celebrate by popping yourself a bag of popcorn and watching your favorite show on TV!

congrats!
I used to splurge with dinner out when I hit a goal, I drank water and ordered a reasonable priced meal, and of course didn't use CC. More frugal we splurged at certain times for steak (on sale) something normally out of the food budget while paying off the CC...a similar 'out of norm' might be a fun treat. Or totally free try the local park for a picnic and day off. |

Thanks for all of your posts. I truly appreciate your words of encouragement.
Instead of going out to eat this weekend, I celebrated by staying over my bf's house. He cooked dinner for me Saturday and Sunday, and we both ate ice cream for desert while watching our favorite movies. I enjoyed myself and didn't have to spend any money! pennrj430, you betcha. If I continue to pay off my remaining credit cards as before, my next CC should be paid off by Dec this year, the next one by Feb 2008, and the last one by May 2008, possibly sooner. Then I will be credit card debt free!!! Next debt to get rid of would be my $22,000 student loan (Yikes!). |
