Default Credit Cards & Bankruptcy Question

I have a bankruptcy on my credit history from 2005. I am once again in trouble with credit cards, which I have responsible been using to pay for school tuition, the internet and a health insurance plan until I can once again find permanent employment. Can you advise me of my options. Right now I am paying one dollar more than the monthly minimum balances. Can you advise if I should cease paying until I am back on my feet again? Thank you.

What I would do is read the book "The Total Money Makeover" by Dave Ramsey. Real Debt Help - Get out of debt with Dave Ramsey's Total Money Makeover Plan.

Try tutoring other students in your spare time. At my school I tutored students that were in my class. This may seem odd, but it actually forced me to really learn the subject in order to help teach others. I made $8.00 per hour and I think it made me understand the course much better than if I didn't tutor.

My favorite money earning tip. Donate plasma. If you are in a university town they most likely have one in your city. I donate twice a week and always study/read one of my textbooks during it.

I am a firm believer in pay as you go.

In other words, and this is going to sound harsh, becus i'm all for education, but why enroll in school if you have no means of paying for it? Better to work first, save the money and then enroll.

Credit card debt has a way of spiraling out of control.

There is stuff I don't understand. I seem to remember you posting in another thread that you are 68 years old. How do you have tuition costs on your credit card? In another thread, I seem to remember you saying that you are going to Europe for 2 weeks and wanted to know about credit card currency conversion rates. Is that while you are already unable to handle your current balances? You may do as you wish, I just find your diffrent threads contradictory and am unsure of what your goal is.

thekid, you are right. He has posted several questions lately and he said one thread that he was 68. Then he said his daughter ran up $17,000 in overdraft fees in one year. And now he is talking about tuition? Plus, you are right, he is also talking about going to Europe.
I think questions is just pulling our leg.

You are right, just a kid. I went back and read questions posts. He is 68, going to Europe, has $100,000 in credit card debt, owes a lot on his student loan.
Even more interesting is that he/she has a boyfriend, a husband, a wife, a divorced wife and a spouse that has expired. I think we are wasting our time.
He/she is pulling our leg.

The administrator just gets these questions sent to him, and he posts them for the person. Therefore, these posts are all questions that have been sent in by different people.

I had the same concerns about this new poster.

Perhaps the username should change to a more appropriate name like "SubmittedQuestions", because I could see many of us asking for more details and the original questioner will not respond.
