I keep track of our finances and pay the bills. I occasionally give DH status reports, but most of the time he is not interested in hearing it.
I'm starting to think I am a split personality! Day by Day you sound like me!

DH's contribution is limited to bringing me his receipts and lamenting the latest fall in price in the stocks he owns, why does he watch CNBC every morning?

An interesting fact, I helped my parents pay the bills, literally.... DH never once heard his parents discuss money or see either one of them pay a bill. No wonder he has blinders on when it comes to money. He is slightly better than he was when we first married almost 29 years ago.

I think trust is an important issue. My dh has always trusted me to handle the money for the past 30 years. I feel that I have not let him down.

Default but we all need both on board

I'm the same way--I like to do the finances, and my DH hates it.
it was the same way in my first marriage, but the difference is this DH doesn't spend much at all. He was raised poor and still acts like it!

It's really hard to budget and stick to a program unless you're both behind it.
