Default I've Changed my withholdings

Hello all. I finally took the plunge. I am allowed to claim 7 on federal but have adjusted that to 4 (just to be safe). I am not touching my state at this time. To say I'm scared is an understatement. I will monitor the refund throughout the year to make sure I'm still on track for a refund.

Again, thank you all for your words of wisdom...this is scary for me but I am going to put all the money I get from this change in withholding into my dds college fund.

Thank you again.

G

I did the same thing last week. I was qualified to take 6 witholdings but I put 5 after taking to my accountant just to be safe. I live in IL and so i changed it to 3.

I hate to see the government keeping my money tax free!!

Congrats. I know how hard it was for you to make that move. Now just be sure to make good, responsible use of the extra money in your check by putting it toward your debt and emergency fund. Way to go!
