Default 529 discovery

I settled on a 529 for the kids. I sent away for the paperwork and will get the check tomorrow. Glad that's decided.

But I made an interesting discovery. 529's can also be used for your own grad school expenses. I am 1/3 of the way through a masters and am in the process of deciding whether to finish it and if so, how to pay for it.

Funding graduate education is different than undergrad. There are fewer scholarships and financial aid is calculated differently. (anyone see my post that the FAFSA didn't take into consideration that I was paying 13k a year after tax in daycare)

If I decide not to finish the degree, I can change the benficiary to one of my children so it can pay for their education expenses.
