Default # to check the status on your refund?

Anyone have or know of a ph# (I believe it was a # & not a site) to check on the statis of your refund?

Getting antsy here, got a bill due in 2.5 weeks & I was going to pay it w/ the refund. *sigh*

Checking online is the way to go.

The mail around here just seems slower and slower - website told me it should have been here by now. ??? But it is good to check - a good way to find if there is a problem. My guess is slow mail though...

Direct deposit, I feel, is the way to go! This year they are allowing you to deposit into more than one account. One example,it makes it easier if you file jointly and you and your husband want to divide the refund into your own individual bank accounts or you may want to divide among your checking and savings.

i always check online at the IRS website. In fact until it showed up I checked everyother day even though it always asked me to wait a week to check again.
