I have to go with other. I have no debt. I have decided for now to not get a house; it may make financial sense in most parts of the world, but in CA it can cost just so much more in relation to income, I'm doing really well with my low rent.

I'm putting a ton in retirement, but I am so very uneducated-what I need to do is learn about my 457 options, Roth options, and make sure my allocations are all correct. Putting in a lot into a bad allocation may not be smart.

I voted for retirment savings. I'm thinking of adding some international and emerging market exposure to my IRA. I'm still deciding if I will move my IRA or diversify through my indivdual account with index funds.

I voted to pay off debt. DH and I contribute 6% (5% matched) to our 401k plans. My plan is to increase our contribution by 0.5% - 1% each year.

I also need to start a 'maternity leave' fund, because we are hoping for baby #2 this year.

I voted for retirement-- mostly as a process of elimination.

A house would be GREAT but it doesn't make sense for now-- we'll be moving from this area sometime in the next 6-18 months.

Already have a car

Only debt is school loans which are currently in deferment b/c I'm in grad school

And since I'm in grad school the pay is out of my control.

So, IRA contribution and saving for a house downpayment are where I'm focusing my efforts for 2007.
