Default Through College Avoiding Debt

If your kids will be entering college soon (or if you will be entering soon yourself) you may want to check out Michelle Singletary's Jan. 7th column for the Washington Post - "Through College Avoiding Debt":

getting through undergrad is not really that dfficult, I worked full time and went to school part-time. It was law school that killed me, I did not realize you are not allowed to work at all the first year, which depleted my savings and forced me into school loans to finish my degree. It is definitely worth it to check on all restrictions before entering a program!

I am currently working full time while pursuing my MBA. It's a lot of work and takes up a lot of my time, but I'm confident that it will pay off. As for debt, half of the cost is being picked up by my company, the other half is from student loans. They will be managable though. I'm already moving some of my money around and paying off some other loans so that the only debt that I have once I graduate will be my mortgage and my student loans.
