Default Amex rewards green card?

I recently got this card offered by Amex and it is listed as a "charge" card and states the balance must be paid in full each month. I am slightly confused on this whole concept because I have only dealt with Visa cards so I was wondering if anyone out there either with this card or with knowledge of this card could give me a little insight? So far I have been unable to find any advantages to use this card over my Visa? Thanks!

I don't have one but there's probably not much advantage to be had with it over a Visa card. You say that it's a reward card so that might be a plus. However I'm pretty sure that the Amex charges an annual fee so if that's the case the "rewards" might not be worth it.

We got a blue amex card and it did not charge an annual fee and you did not have to pay it off each month. It did give you a 1% cash back. I never heard of the green card.

The green card is the original American Express card isn't it?
