I agree with Steve. I've had a credit and since I was 20 y/o-- and there has only been 1 month I did not pay it off in full.
When I worked FT, I travelled for work a lot. I was expected to pay for things on my credit card and get re-imbursed afterward. Eyebrows would have been raised if I had said I didn't have a credit card or was unwilling to use it. My friend's significant other doesn't have a credit card. To be honest, it makes me suspicious-- and wonder if he's filed for bankruptcy in the past but hasn't told her. I'm not saying there aren't perfectly good reasons not to have a credit card, but I **am** saying it may cause people to draw conclusions about you. |

I'm in the boat of liking CC, had one since 13 and never any problems. It's how my mom taught me about money. And I left home by 16 and didn't have problems...so something must have stuck.
