Default BOA & MBNA Changeover

I have a CC through MBNA that recently was changed over to BOA. I noticed Monday when I checked the site that my balance was $9.22 more than I have that it should be. Today my CC bill came in the mail and the $9.22 is interest. My agreement with MBNA was no interest, I believe for a year. Will have to check when I get home. We've only had the card for probably 6 months, at most.

Does anyone know if the promise of no interest for a year has to be honored in this instance, or is BOA able to disregard it? I have not contacted them yet because I want to check my files to be sure I am right that the interest should not have been charged.

Anyone else noticed they are in the same situation?

Call and complain. See what they do. Complaining never hurts.
