I'm surprised that posting this article in full without providing its source is allowed. Isn't that copyright infringement? If providing the source means providing a spam link, then wouldn't it be better to just delete the thread entirely?

Sweeps is a forum moderator. He doesn't edit any of the text, but does edit out links that go against our forum posting rules (as well as delete lots of spam)

The article appears to be orginal content from the person who posted and not written by someone else (at least from a quick google search) and therefore was left.

You have an interesting point here, but this is far from clear cut. If you follow the original "source" link, it's an obvious spam site. And as greedy4chips points out, it doesn't appear to be the original source of the article. A moderator could just blow away the whole thread, but what if there was something useful in it beyond the obvious spam link? Also keep in mind that I'm just a volunteer so I can't spend hours researching whether an article is a bona fide original article, or just a ruse to get people to visit a spam site.

I agree with you sweeps! You cannot research every article posted to see if it is an article elsewhere, written by someone else, etc.

Taking the OPs link out of the first post was the right thing to do. I knew I had seen this article in the past so I googled "Focus on creating a Brand" and used advanced search with that same phrase in the 'with exact phrase' filled in with "Focus on creating a Brand" and poof there it was.

I just posted the link so Jeffrey can decide what to do with the thread.
