way to make christmas money
In my town, our local community center offers various classes people can take, for a fee. The classes include everthing from quilting, sewing, painting, how to balance a checkbook, basic car care, and classes for teens and children as well. For the past 2 years, I have "taught" a Christmas craft class. I get my choice of cash, or credit for my family to use at the community center against classes or gym and pool use. The classes are usually a 1 time class-mine were from 6-9 p.m. I taught 2 in October, 3 in November. Each class was a different craft-Christmas decoration, that cost the students $10 each. The center kept $5 and I got $5 for each student. My biggest class had 22 students. Not bad for 3 hrs work. The students are given a list of supplies to bring-I try to use ideas that use items from the home. I called the center orginally and last year they called me and asked me to come back and do it again. One lady even teaches a class every spring in being frugal. As long as at least 7 students sign up, the center will sponser the class, and they do all the advertising for it.
