Okay, really -- at one point I had over 20,000 in cc debt. (Not anymore) But I'm trying to think if I still own anything I might have spent it on.... I'll think about it and get back to you

Okay, I realized I do still own one piece of furniture -- a small telephone table. Everything else was either a consumable good, interest, or I have since donated or sold the item. A whole lot of consumable goods though -- and a couple plane tickets. Sad, really!

Wrinkles!!

I have new porcelan (sp?) crowns on my teeth - new white fillings in some others. I kept having 'hot mouth' = it was from all those old mercury fillings I had back when I was 8-12 years old. They were long overdue for replacement. The dental work cost me about 8000.00, but I've a prettier smile now w/o all that ucky metal in there!

I'm editing here - don't want anyone to be confused - we paid this off either last year or the year before! But that balance on there did give me wrinkles! I hate owing money w/a passion!

Frankly, I'll be damned if I know what the hell my wife has bought to rack up the debts she has. Well, some of the stuff is useless crap that is sitting in the basement. Not much to show for the price paid if you ask me!

Home Depot CC kitchen cabinets and a lawnmower

Visa a 10 day vacation, it's nice to think of the vacation and remember all the fun but it is a drag to make high payments to get it paid off in a couple of months. It's better to set aside money before vacation.

I'm proud to say that I have ZERO credit card debt at this point. However, about 9 months ago, it was at about 10K.

What do I have to show for it? 42" plasma HDTV, 26" LCD HDTV, very nice bedroom set, new mattress, and New York Jets season tickets.

A little extra money in the bank from earned interest while I use the 0% rates on my cards - when they are 0%. I often times won't use a card for a very long time and the cc company will send me something about either cash advance, purchases or balance transfers at 1.99%. If I can find a savings account earning more, then I'll take them up on their offer - especially if I'm in need of buying something or have some account that needs paying off, etc. I have not taken any cash advances - just doesn't feel right, but I know others have with no problems with doing that. Right now, my Capital One account is earning 5% and my MC is at 1.99% so I'm charging all my daughter's college expenses (after scholarships) and will pay it off when the rate expires (December). Meanwhile, the money I would have forked out for these expenses goes into the Cap1 account earning 5%. This is what I have to show for it...in a good way.

We have no debt right now, but from we did we had little to show for it. We bought a few plane tickets to visit family at Christmas and put new tires on the car. Everything else was probably consumables of one type or another. Sigh. I think we've learned our lesson!

I don't know if I can get anything out of them. One is a Pentium II 266.

However, I had planned to do some experiments with them (ie. DNS/mail servers, or hardware firewall). I'm just dragging my feet lately.

When I was starting out post college, I charged some very basic crappy furniture and a simple work wardrobe. It's long since paid off and I keep a zero balance.
