my issues-new job
If you read my horror story before I got good new's(we got him a job.)also I'm getting an inheretince 28,000+ (don't know when)
And update's{looking for all the morale support i can get}
Potty training no more diper expenses.
Next step's;
Get family mini van:
(so i don't have to ride in back of the truck nomore)found one got 300.00 to pay on it
Pay debt:
(any fast ideas ?)Would it best to pay highest to lowest or lowest to highest first? all interst rates are high so I'd guess lowest to highest first
Extra after gas right now will be around 215.00 weekly
Would it be better to pay out of my once monthly 738.00 and pay monthy bill's with his?
Thing's we want to accomplice this year if possible;
Get a house
Need to bump my credt score ?right now it's in the 480 to 520 range
Save more
Invest my inheri.
Debt's
credit card 1: 850.00
credit card 2: 1,514.33
credit card 3: 1,300.00
credit card 4: 800.00
credit card 5: 700.00
combination of the rest of bill's: 1000.00
Monthly expenses:
electric: 150.00 (but we feel behind so 302.00 right now)
phone: 50.00 (but we feel behind so 98.00 right now)
dish and internet: 25.00
home need's/insurance:100.00
cigg's:130.00
That's it and a side note;
no cutting out my monthly's;
dish and internet,cig's,phone,is not going to help or make me feel better about paying off debt (i don't drive and I live 20 to 28 miles from any town)
SO[please be gental ]I know it looks bad but for 2 years on a 738.00 income for 4 people, this really ain't that horrible, tyia

Re: my issues-new job
Ahhh, the never ending debate on which debts to pay off first. The quickest way to pay of debts is to pay the highest interest debts first and what I would recommend. There is also an argument to paying off the lowest debt first.

Re: my issues-new job
Ciggs - $130/mo First, quit smoking. You have small children. They need their mom to be healthy and around for them when they grow up! OK, nuff preachin'!
Did you find a good deal on a van?
Can you use the inheritance to pay off all the cc's? That would boost your credit score and put you in a better financial position. But, beware! Most people who pay them off run them right back up again. If you are prone to do that, you might be better just to put that money in a retirement account where you can't touch it. Personally, I would close all the cc's except one major one such as Visa/MC. One bill a month is enough. Don't fall for all the 10% off or other gimmicks meant to suck you into even more cc's. Just say no.
As for getting a house. Take your time. There is no hurry. Slow and steady wins the financial race. Owning a home is not for everyone and is expensive. So, think it over carefully and make sure you are in a good position before even considering it. And, don't let them tell you "how much house you can afford". Personally, I wouldn't buy over 2x income. It will be no fun if you own a home but are strapped and can't have money to enjoy yourself, your children, etc.

Re: my issues-new job
I know my baby's need us [130.00 is for me and him]we just don't have the will power right now.
my fiance is an autotech,so we found one that cound be repaired cheaply[the muffler] and ran smooth this month for the 300.00 and some helping around my s.t.b.f.i.l house[already done].
I have no idea when the inheritance will be coming or I'd do that[there's a big ordeal going on about that with a guy that stole stuff from them.]
Mine and his card's have been shredded already,I figured if we can't pay the 10 a moth for a pay as you go card we don't need any.
I'll keep the house stuff in mind thank's

Re: my issues-new job
I'm with paying off all the CC debt once you get the inheritance and then saving the rest as best you can.
I'm also with quite smoking. Just see how much faster that debt would be gone if you could do that! And think of how much money you'll save in the future health issues. It's hard yes, but worth it, as most hard things are. If it were easy, then it wouldn't be worth it.
Good luck!!
