Annscash - I'd love to know where you live (no need to specify, I'm just speaking hypothetically). I'm in the Washington, DC area, and you probably won't find a decent 3 bedroom for under 1/2 million. I bought my budget basic VW 5 years ago for $16k.

Your comparisons make for an interesting perspective. Wonder what they'll look like in 20 years?
