Paid off another debt today!!
WOOHOO!!
It's a small one but it's a debt. Tonight, I am mailing the check when I get home. A check for $287.xx.
These baby steps are nice.
Next debt, Dell for $786.61. It should be paid off next month.

lol. yeah, I really really wanted to buy my wife a laptop and I had no money. So guess what I did?
It will be paid off next month so I won't pay them very much interest (only had the laptop for about 2 months). Plus, I got a $150 rebate from them (that I used for other debt). |

All in total that makes $1,073.61 of debt eliminated...that's no baby step my friend, that's a great leap and accomplishment!

hey, thanks for the kind words people.
I would have paid off even more if my wife and kids weren't going on vacation next month. :-/
Because we have an extra $1800 I could have thrown to AMEX and closed them for good.
Oh well.
I hope to have AMEX paid off by July.

nice to have some fun while paying off those debts. i know what you mean though about wanting to put extra money toward debt but can't because of a vacation or unexpected car repairs, etc. etc.

I remember when I paid off the house!! In the old days, they use to have mortgage burning parties and invite all their friends and neighbors. Sounds like a good idea!!
