He, he, he.

You are a dear.

Patek Phillipe. A very, VERY expensive line of watches.

Bla Bla bla !

Sorry to be the party pooper....
but children do change everything - even the best most logically laid plans...

I was a chronic care nurse working in the Boston area. I had just finished one of the toughest nursing schools in Cambridge Mass.....and only worked for about a year before I became pregnant with my first child.

Suddenly my whole outlook changed.

There was just no way I was going to let someone else raise my children in daycare...not if I could help it! And quit my nursing job. Sure I always thought I'd get back into it. But then we moved to another state and I let my license expire.

Our income was cut in half.

Luckily we owned a 2 family as our first house and the tenents upstairs took care of most of the mortgage payments. It was a difficult decision. But one I will never regret. I know that God took care of us and blessed us for our decision. Suddenly my husband got big raises and got a huge jump in pay when he switched to another company and we have never really wanted for anything since. We've always managed somehow.

But my kids know me and love me. They're not all messed up. They're secure and happy and well-behaved. But most of all they know they are loved back.

Surely even half of 180,000, is more than enough to get by on if you were to get pregnant before you had planned......
Priorities can change you know. And that can be a good thing. Your still young. Maybe still a little self-centered as most single people are. I know. I've been there. No one can tell you. You'll have to see for yourself.

In the meantime you can listen to everyone else's good advice about money.

Good points...not just children, but anything unexpected can bump finances. We certainly did not expect DH to get cancer and be off work, or me to be hospitalized for four months after an assault. That "surplus" converted to needs pretty quickly!

Be comfortable, but be prepared for life to change everything. It usually does.
