Lightbulb tax advice and planning

Hi! Where do you file your federal and state taxes online? I need your recommendations because I'm looking for the right tax professional preparation software.

I've used turbo tax, so did my boyfriend, and my parents have for several years. If you look at the irs website they have links to websites that will let you file for free. Check out the turbotax link. Federal is free, state is a small fee.

Aside from turbotax, I recommend you these sites..

www.tomactax.com
www.online-taxes.com

They also have tax advice and planning in those sites. Good luck for the search!

In addition to the other ideas mentioned, be sure to check whether your state offers free filing online. Illinois residents can file their taxes for free at iltax.com.
