I have recently joined a dating site match.com and agreed to pay for
the 6 month subscripsion costing approx $77 or £45. When I received my credit card bill the amount was for $126.95 or £75. I called match.com on the rip off 0845 number, and spoke to someone called mindy from India with a false american accent. Just to make sure I asked her how much a 6 month subscription would be and was informed $77, I then informed her I was charged $126 so she then put me on hold sucking more of my money to inform me she would email her supervisor and I will expect an email soon. It has been a week now and I have not had a response, can I report this to my visa credit card company as fraud to redeem my money back, I have not paid the credit card off yet. or is their any other ways of going about this?

Do you have anything in writing stating the price of the service?
If so, I would follow the instructions on the back of your credit card statement on how to dispute charges. Usually you need to do this in writing. Good luck! |

I would also look into disputing the charges with the CC company.
And don't you just HATE customer service lately? It's bad enough that our jobs are going overseas but when they're outright lying with their names it really ticks me off! Early yesterday afternoon I had a call from Mastercard and the guy claimed his name was Richard Williams, SSSSSSSSSSSUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEE It is! He also said "good evening" I informed him we had no interest and that it was EARLY AFTERNOON IN THE UNITED STATES! kj |

Don't pay it and write a letter disputing the charge.

Just dispute the amount with the credit card company. Write a letter explaining that they charged you the wrong amount and that you tried to contact customer service with no results. Then when you pay the bill substract that amount from it.
good luck ![]() |

Go to the bank or credit card company - tell them what happened - I've done this several times and eachg time I have not had to pay - people make mistakes everywher e- good for you for keeping an eye on your statements

Don't pay. Dispute charges as per CC rules. Please let us know what happens!
