Our local bank is offereing over 6% for the first 200 days. This adverages out to about 5.34, I will have to go check out the newspaper.

Ok, the Appalachian community bank is offering a 24 month CD with $250.00 minimum. They will pay you 6% interest for the first 200 days and an attrative rate for the remaining term. You have to open a new simplified checking account.800 868 5571. The APY is 5.34%

Is that rate only at the Blairsville Branch or is it available at the Gilmer Co bank? The Gilmer Co one would be a bit closer for me and that rate is awesome. Would love to get in on that ![]() Thanks! |

The ad says it is available at both. I have my accounts at the Applachian Bank in Blairsville and I have done business with them for 11 years, so they are good people. You are practically a neighbor!!
