Default Checks mailed twice

This is true. Those who should have had their refunds mailed to banks on Feb 3 because they received an early RAL instead are receiving both. The IRS is mailing their refund check to their homes even though they received a RAL at their local preparer. Some of people will be honest and endorse their IRS refund check back to the bank but some will cash both checks. The banks will be hurting this year. It may take a year or two but they will get their money.
