Presidential Online Bank
Presidential Bank is paying 4.00 APY (unlimited checking) on balances up to $25,000.00. They were rated #1 by bankrate.com and wall street journal.
Suze Orman mentions them on her show along with Emigrant Direct as two of the banks she recommends. presidential.com

My local bank is offering a 24 month CD with the first 200 days interest rate at 6.00%
They don't say what the rest of the time is, but it averages out to 5.64% over the 24 months. I don't know if that is considered good or not. What are 2 year CD's going for?
