Are there any individuals out there who would like to buy stocks without using a stockbroker but don't know how? It's not as difficult as you think.
The start up costs can be as little as $50US. I do it myself and would like to discuss this topic with any do-it-yourselfers. |

AAII publishes a list of companies that allow you to buy their stock without a broker. My only qualm about it is you are not using a real time market price for the stock. However, it would be a great idea for a very small investor who can buy fractional numbers of shares.
Note: there are some brokers that are awfully inexpensive for instance Interactive Brokers (IAB) has a $1 minimum which is very useful for small lots on lower priced shares and they allow you to acquire just about any stock internationally. |

The original post is probably a spam. Anyone that wants to buy shares without a broker can easily set up an account at Sharebuilder or Scottrade for $4 or $7 a trade, respectively.
In fact if you open up a Sharebuilder account with the right URL, they pay you, instead of the other way around. ![]() |

I see a lot of the replies deal with discount brokers. I don't think that they get it. The idea of buying stocks directly DOES NOT INVOLVE STOCKBROKERS
-- even with commissions as low as $4.00. |

No, I get it. You're selling a book (an e-book, no less) which is really just an advertisement to swindle people out of at least 50 more dollars.
I especially like this statement on your website: Your initial investment can be as low as $50. Compare this to a discount brokerage account where you might need thousands of dollars to get started. Take your spam elsewhere. |

I first starting buying stocks years ago thru something called the money paper. They would buy you one share in any company that had a DRIP program, then you bought them directly from the company.
