Did you stay on budget for holidays?

The holidays can be a time when we let our guard down and overuse the plastic.

So I was wondering, who stayed within their holiday budget?

If you went over, do you have any plan or idea in mind to not do the same next year?

Fortunately I can say that I stayed on budget this year and spent about the same as last year - around $800 total between gifts, food, decorations, etc.

I did pretty well. Nothing went on credit cards and that was the main goal.

I did, just barely. I charged more than I had planned (I order thru catalogs and qvc) but I have already paid it all off.

came in under budget! i had a couple hundred dollars left over but that is going for this next year as i have two friends who just had children and i am sending thme little gifts

I went about $50 over. Not too bad!

well none went on the CC, but also not enough was paid on the CC in December. Sortof what I expected, but not as good as I had hoped.
