Default Are you invested in any single stocks?

I'm curious to know what forum members are invested in. I'm not talking about mutual funds - those aren't nearly as interesting!

Which single stocks do you own?

I currently own three positions in AAPL ranging from $68-$70.50.

My reason for investing is that I (a lifelong pc-user) thought I might purchase a mac for our family computer in the next year or so. Two days later my pc-using brother said the same thing (not sparked by any input from me). If we were both thinking it, how many others were as well? I'm banking on the idea that aapl will gain market share in the consumer PC area.

So, I said I would "go long" and bought in at $34.79. In two weeks the stock had gone up to $44 and I sold (chickened out). Now it's up quite a bit more . I bought back in and this time I really am in long until my outlook on the company changes - in spite of the forward p/e

I have shares in Blair and Home Depot through Sharebuilder from my $5000 challenge. I enjoy the challenge. I'm trying to get 10 shares of vaious companies and watch them grow. Hopefully it will be a learning experience with a financial windfall in the end (10-20 years from now).

I have CORI as a microcap "might hit it big" (or at least get bought out) stock and SFL as a longer term divvy play. Both are in my Roth with a bunch of mutual funds.

I sold CAH to buy BOT.

Bought CAH @ 50, sold @ 64.

Bought BOT @ 122. I think it's at 95 now. Volume will pickup when the 30 year T-bills will start trading again in the new year (I hope). Also keeping my fingers crossed that the CME will merge with BOT. I can't see why not.

We also bought BOT @ 85 for my mothers account. She also has Execelon and Exxon from 20-25 years ago. Dividends had been reinvested for most of that time.
