I checked out all of the websites.

Cypher Services wanted my social security number on my application. Do you think it is safe to do that? Does anyone know of people gaining employment through one of these companies?

Thumbs up Re: Legit work at home jobs

I make my living with Working Solutions, with Work At Home Agents as a backup. You can get a lot of information through www.wahm.com , and talk to lots of folks who work at home.

Remember to research all job opportunities thoroughly, so you can distinguish between independent contracting positions, regular jobs that telecommute, start-your-own-business schemes, and outright scams.

Cypher is legit. I did work for them a few years back but stopped because I didn't have enough time for them in my schedule. There are a lot of moms at www.wahm.com in the telecommunting section that still work for them.

Good luck!

Well, I applied at Working Solution and another one that escapes me now. Working Solutions said they would contact me when there is work availabe, but it could be a while. I hope they email sooner rather than later. I didn't submit my information to Cypher because I am still leary about giving out my SSN over the interet. I know that it is perfectly normal to request that information on a job application, but it just doesn't feel right yet.

Luckily I do have a full time job, I was just looking for a little extra money to put a dent into my debt.
