Default Holiday Spending for 2005?

Just thought it would be interesting to hear from forum members about your plans (budget) for holiday spending this season.

Will your holiday spending be :

a) less than last year?

b) about the same as last year?

c) more than last year?

As for myself, I am thinking about the same as last year. I usually use my bonus check from work for the majority of my holiday shopping/spending.

Less!! With 20+ people to buy for, we had to make some changes. For my family, we drew names. For DH's family, we set a $10 "fun gift" limit.

Less. I haven't saved very much this year and we do not charge Christmas any more...haven't for a few years now, but used to all the time!

More...things are more expensive this year... and, nanny has gone to the next bracket of "aguinaldo" (17 days salary as opposed to 15)...I'm trying to stay as close to last year's as possible, though...

Probably about the same overall, but redirected. We'll spend a little less on most people (including ourselves) so we can spend more on our daughter. She'll be 17 months and she'll be a lot more excited about presents than last year when it was really more exciting for us.

Same as last year, nothing but the gas to travel and our time. We give home made gifts and home grown beef to everyone. This year we're making squirrel feeders and baling twine wreaths for the families.
