ING Direct bank had been offering a $25 sign-up bonus to people who opened an account with a referral from an existing customer and a $1 deposit. As of today, they have modified their rules and now require a referral from an existing customer and an initial deposit of $250 for a new customer to qualify for the $25 bonus. The person who makes the referral will also only receive a $10 bonus if the new customer opens the account with $250 or more. From their website:
If your friend opens an account with at least $250, we will also deposit a $25 bonus in their new account and a $10 thank you bonus in your Orange Savings Account. You can visit the forums to get more information about the pros and cons of both ING Direct or Emigrant Direct banks. |
