Emigrant Direct Raises Bar To 3.5%

EmigrantDirect bank which was once the interest rate leader, but had recently fallen behind to the competition has once again taken the lead offering 3.5% interest. ING had raised their interest rate to 3.15% a couple of days ago.




While other banks such as Superior Savings Bank offer a 3.5% savings rate, they require a high minimum balance ($10,000 minimum deposit) UFB Direct Bank had been the leader for banks that only required a $1.00 deposit at 3.4%.
