As a teacher, I have students who are willing to lie or cheat and it seems as though it is higher than 25%. The real estate bubble was helped along many people who were willing to lie about their earnings. What is the percentage of people who cheat on their income taxes?

I would have thought the figure was much higher, although I personally dont know anybody who cheats.
The Chinese used to execute anyone convicted of tax fraud. These laws were revised however last year.

True - but this article was about cheating financially on spouses. People will always justify scamming the "system" more than their loved ones (or more than scamming real people in general). I think 25% is pretty disturbing, considering.
