Default Snookinomics

Snooki was recently paid more than a Nobel Laureate to speak at Rutgers University. At the surface this seems absurd, but as the article explains, maybe she was worth it.

Market forces are crazy if a reality tv personality is worth 32k...then again maybe I should go into Reality TV.

I think it's more of a sad commentary on the values of our nation.

Do I have to watch cable TV to know who this person is?

I've lately been hearing the Snooky name, but only in one-liner jokes.

I don't think very many Nobel winners even give talks for pay.

The article argued that she was worth it because of all of the publicity it brought. I don't think the saying "all publicity is good publicity" holds true for universities, but I could be wrong.
