well i personally find a man that is frugal sexy b/c it says he's smart abt money.

but if a man takes a woman out on a date he needs 2 budget for it. he can't just say this is it if he hasn't properly budgeted. i budget for it & so should he.

i also do NOT order the most expensive thing on the menu. & i don't drink alcohol so my expenses r fairly small. i would actually like a picnic better than goin to a restaurant (so yes i'mma cheap date ) LMAO!!

If the man is going to show the woman what they are saving for, the income they will make in the future if the save money now and re-invest that money, and the quality time they will be able to buy in the near future with the money they will earn by re-investing the money he saves now by frugal living, then he should be sexy.

I guess I'm one of the lucky ones. My wife is so frugal she doesn't even spend over $50.00 a month on herself and saves all of her allowance. We both get the same to spend each month out of our budget and she has over a thousand saved and I spend whatever I get.

i believe the research shows that men view money as playing a game and striving to "win" at it, whereas women tend to see money as more of a lifestyle enabler (although women also tend to be more conservative a less risk takers....)

maybe those men can think of an expensive date with a potential mate as an "investment". that may help them "justify" it.

I remember getting annoyed at my now wife, because after 6 months of serious dating I was still paying for everything. So we finally had a discussion. I was starting to get the vibe that she was free loading and her side was that she was old-fashioned and expected the guy paid for everything. We sorted things out, obviously , and she wasn't expected to pay for her half but even a gesture or offer to pick up a cup of coffee once in awhile was all that I was looking for. It was just making me question her conscientiousness.

Yeah I'm the same - never order anything expensive on the menu when I'm on a date, I just don't think that's very curtious ya know?!

I am a frugal (cheap) man, but very creative to make my wife (or than girlfriend) feel important on a date. In fact I wrote an article called "Cheap Dates" on my blog (www.krantcents.com). I believe women want to feel special, money does not make one feel special. Spending a lot of money is easy!
