Default LifeLock CEO’s Identity Stolen 13 Times

Apparently, when you publish your Social Security number prominently on your website and billboards, people take it as an invitation to steal your identity.

LifeLock CEO Todd Davis, whose number is displayed in the company’s ubiquitous advertisements, has by now learned that lesson. He’s been a victim of identity theft at least 13 times, according to the Phoenix New Times.

That's 12 more times than has previously been known...

Just 13 times? Consider himself lucky! This will haunt him forever, if he hasn't changed his SS# already. (This is a rare case in when you can do so).

I wish I could find the details online, but some retailer or manufacturer used a real name and social security # to make a fake social security card to put in purses for sale. I believe someone running the business actually divulged their real info (seems they knew her name and SS#, and she knew about it. Though, I could be wrong about the details). Anyway, her ID has been stolen like hundreds of times over the decades. Just, completely out of control!

I mean, this was before the internet age. Anyone can look up this guy's name and SS#! So, I'd say this is just the beginning...

Me and some friends were just talking about this guy a few months back and his identity being stolen. I always thought that posting your own social security number would be pretty stupid.
