Default Lindsey Lohan 500k in Credit Card Debt

Lindsay Lohan has been hitting the party scene hard and hasn't done much work since her last film Labor Pains, which went straight to DVD. Despite her lack of income, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively that she hasn't cut back on her spending and is now over half a million dollars in debt.

"Lindsay owes credit cards $600,000," a source tells RadarOnline.com of the troubled 23-year-old. "One card cut her off last week and it's only a matter of time before all her other credit cards cut her off too...

But in the meantime, you can take steps to reduce the amount of interest you pay. Contact your credit card issuer(s) and ask them to reduce the rate of interest on your account. They've always got some sort of special offer that they could give you for perhaps 6 months. At this stage, it's always a good idea to look at the interest rates available for new customers on other credit cards. It will help you to decide how good their new offer is.

And if you don't get a reasonable offer, tell them that you'll move your balance elsewhere. Who knows, they may be able to offer you something better, in order to keep your custom. After all, you represent a nice regular income for them (as long as you owe them money, that is).

If that still doesn't bring the desired results, move on to number four below.

4) Find A Credit Card With A Lower Rate.

This is just one more example of a topic we've discussed here often. When your income drops, you need to adjust your lifestyle. When your income rises, you need to set aside money to cover periods of low (or no) income. Celebrities, particularly movie stars, have irregular incomes. They earn money when they do a movie and then earn a lot less when they don't have a new movie out. I'm sure there are always some royalties, appearance fees, etc., but not the millions that come in for doing a movie. I'm sure these folks also get hooked on the lifestyle that comes with the big money. Of course, Lindsey Lohan has also had addiction issues to go along with this. She was just in court a week or so ago for something. I don't follow celebrity gossip but happened to see her on the news. It is really a shame because she was such an adorable kid actor and grew into a very attractive woman. She could have such a great life if she hadn't taken the wrong path.
