Default Gasoline Prices Predicted To Set New Records

The word form energy analysts is that gasoline is set to rise, and rise sharply. There are predictions that gas prices will rise as much as a quarter a gallon by the end of the month which would make for an all time recored price for gasoline. If this happens, it will put gasoline prices above $2.15 a gallon while the all time record to date was $2.06 for regular unleaded last May.

Gasoline prices have already risen half a dollar since late last year and oil prices topped $55 a barrel this past week, although they fell off those highs. OPEC's acting secretary-general also has warned that oil prices may spike for short periods to as $80 a barrel over the next couple of years.

Experts attribute the increase in the price of oil to rising demand for oil in China and Asia as well as from non-OPEC oil producing nations slowing down their production increases.

With this spring and summer set to be the most expensive ever for drivers, it pays to get your car in tip top shape so that you aren't using anymore gasoline than necessary. Read the article Driving To Savings as well as 35 Gas Saving Tips.

Default Re: Gasoline Prices Predicted To Set New Records

Looks like I'll be seeing new faces on Seattle Metro Transit. Not sure whether that's a good thing or not, but it tends to be entertaining.
