hahaha great.... the one university I specifically want my Master's from, and it's the 2nd most expensive in the country.... bah, just my luck.... hahahaha

Interesting.
I have noticed for a long while that in California the public education is very affordable, coupled with the fact that there aren't a lot of expensive private schools (compared to the East Coast anyway). It's not like public school grads compete with a lot of private school grads here. (In my industry and field, in general, public, bachelor's education is preferred. Though in other states a private Masters degree may be preferred, in the same job). I am extremely curious why BYU grads(& Utah in general) has such a low debt load. Is it a Mormon culture thing? Interesting. |

MonkeyMama, from what I have seen, LDS are very concerned with financial responsibility at a personal and family level.

I was schooled in NE, but now live in IA. I'm shocked that students here have the highest average student loan debt. Wow!
