His book - Predictably Irrational is also a fascinating read. The case studies are great, though I wasn't as much of a fan of his conclusions - most tended towards MORE government intervention.

You're thinking of Dan Ariely. This video is a different guy, a Harvard psychologist.

that was good
i really liked the part about buying speakers it made a lot of sense was funny and I have worked for years to get my DH to get rid of all his big speakers only to have my teenage son drag some home ;-)

Very intriguing. I love the presentation examples. The visuals for the portion about the lottery were particularly impressive.
