These articles are a quick read. I can't imagine a parent paying for adult kids' college loans!

I don't know if its how I am taught but don't parents help out their kids college tutition?

I think a big problem, as evidenced in this article, is that students and parents are taking out huge loans to go to costly schools to get degrees in fields that aren't that high-paying. Borrowing $100,000 to become a doctor who will earn that much and more makes sense. Borrowing $100,000 to become a teacher who will earn $40,000 doesn't make sense. Borrowing $100,000 to get a philosophy degree and probably no job as a result is just insane.

People need to give the whole college thing a little more thought before signing the loan agreements. Will it be worth it? Will they have the means to repay what they are borrowing?
