Whitehead sees slump worse than Depression
The economy faces a slump deeper than the Great Depression and a growing deficit threatens the credit of the United States itself, former Goldman Sachs chairman John Whitehead, said at the Reuters Global Finance Summit on Wednesday.

Wow that's comforting O_o. So does that means don't invest money this year?

Fearmongering--I'll believe it when I see it. I'm trying to posture myself for bad times, but I've been doing that anyway. Yes, I know things are bad, and may very well get worse, but I personally believe that to go this far is a little extreme.
