This would not convince me to buy a Hummer (nothing would), but you gotta admire these guys' creativity:

I would buy a hummer H2, drives lovely for an SUV, and truly off road, my cousin has one, and we drove to canada this weekend and did some off roading, it was GREAT. you can take it off boring roads, and get mighty looks, and it's not so bad on gas.

......when compared to a jet aircraft.
![]() for those whose interest is piqued, a Boeing 747 burns an average of 5 gallons per mile. for military jet aircraft, the low end is around 12 gallons per mile, which just goes downhill from there.

until you drive a H2, you can't knock it. I notice that people who talk bad about H2's and joke about it alot, have never driven it. People with Ferrari and Lambos or Buggatti's get plenty of love. |

So what you're trying to say is "Hummers are the Ferrari of Jeeps". Really now? Oh, btw... those lambo's still get better mileage than your hummer. ![]() Okay, I guess I shouldn't totally bash hummers, but they just don't belong on the road. They were designed for a battlefield, and they should have stayed there. The H2 and H3 are designed for soccer moms (or anybody, really) who want to think they're a big deal. Give me a good reason to own a Hummer and I'll give you 3 other vehicles that give you the same thing or similar. If you really want everything that a hummer has, .... well, I can get you the number for your nearest Army recruiter if you'd like...

That last one was a little aggressive, so my apologies, segmond. However, I do still agree with my points, so I'll leave them....
Back to the original topic, I just wanted to put this article out there.... It lays out a number of issues surrounding Ford, GM, and Chrysler surprisingly well. "Stuck in Neutral"

Now there's a novel idea!
As for the H2... it was the H1 that was the 'real' Hummer. GM got ahold of it and plopped the skin on a regular Blazer chassis, and called it the H2. Now it's just another SUV. Another example of how corporate greed got in the way of common sense. |
