Default Woman Auctioning Her Virginity For College Tuition

A 22-year-old woman in the United States is publicly auctioning her virginity to pay for her college education, sparking a heated online debate about sex and morality.

The student from San Diego, California, who is using the pseudonym Natalie Dylan for "safety reasons," said she had no moral dilemma with her decision and found it "empowering."

But few bloggers sided with her and some suspected her intentions.

"I don't think auctioning my virginity will solve all my problems," she told celebrity television show The Insider on Wednesday. "But it will create some financial stability. I'm ready for the controversy, I know it will come along. I'm ready to do this...

I am always a skeptic but what are the odds of someone who is willing to sell their virginity actually being a virgin?

Don't most women have that, you know, that you have to, you know?

With guys, you can't tell. You can only assume the inverse of what they are willing to reveal.

This is all over the net- she has passes a lie detector test and will also go through a medical examine as proof.

The photos of her look photoshopped, but then there is a cnn link on one article which suggest she was the person in the picture- she just covered her face when she went tanning.

This brings up a lot of questions...

What if he pays all that money and then can't perform?
What about STDs and pregnancy?
What happens if a woman wins?
Is this legal in her/his jurisdiction?
Does she have to pay taxes on this transaction?

I know -- leave it to me to ruin the moment.

My first thought was probably not legal - and so public about it.

I didn't even think to the taxes - excellent point. Yes, would certainly be taxable.

Sorry, I just can't seem to look away from that untanned head photoshopped onto the tanned body.

All I want to know is: Who are the knuckleheads who are actually bidding on this??? Someone needs to smack those boys upside the head.

P.S. To BA: I read somewhere that ... ahem ..."restoration surgery" is quite popular in Japan, so I guess there is no such thing as a sure thing in this day and age.

Oh yeah, now that you mentioned it, I do remember hearing about that bit of story once. But then, I've always thought the Japanese were some of the craziest people out there.
