Interesting article on how Disneyland (and other big name parks) have hired special designers to make sure traffic flow and prices entice families to drop around $900 a day:

I am kind of confused on the comment about the design of Disneyland parking lot. If you leave the entrance and go past the shuttle area it is a pretty small lot and there are a load of reasonable restaurants right across the street. Plus the shuttles are very good. We rarely eat in the park. When the park is open to midnight we skip out for lunch. Last time we were there they closed at 9 so we just stopped for dinner on the way back to the hotel. Couldn't have been more easy to leave the park - so I can't say thta design is going well for them.

I am sure their parking lot is huge. I am just not sure why you would traverse it to get a meal. Unless you got a hotel on the other side and didn't know better.

I just had to say - you know - the ONE thing we always splurge on is ice cream. You walk by and smell something real good and think. "I want Ice Cream!" I admit they get us there every time! Sneaky devils.
