Yeah, I've read similar articles saying the same thing. All I can do is shake my head. I wonder if some will learn before it's too late? Or at all?

I didn't read this particular article, but I've read something like before. All I can say it's very sad and I think the trend will continue unless people will realize that they must live within their means or rather below their means.

Yea I can see the need for people raiding their 401k's...but for me it would have to be one of my last resorts!

Even if some of these people were desperate for money, I wonder if they could have met their needs not by dipping into the 401Ks, but by just stopping their contributions for a few months or even a few years. Re-rout the contributions to whatever the pressing need is.
