Default The 99-cent recession menu

Worried that sales could slump as the economy slows, some fast-food chains are offering more food for less money. But will quality drop with prices?

I have ordered that little double cheese burger from McDonals's and it's very filling. They have a $1. menu and you can also buy fries for $1. I rarely order a drink because I drink water but I don't buy it from them. So, for $2.07 including tax, you can eat and feel full. It's a rare thing that I do, but every once in a while - I treat myself to something like this.

Also, you can ask for extra onions, pickles, or whatever comes with it.

I LOVE the value menu, especially at Wendy's. And, when I get fast food, I preferentially look at the value meal first. Works for me.

I get the 99 cent chicken nuggets with honey mustard sauce and a glass of water. For $1, you have lunch.

That would NEVER fill me up. Not even close (and just for the record I'm not fat - I'm fairly slim). I would have to eat about 5 orders or so (which would not only be terrible for me, it would defeat the whole $1 purpose).
