Default Man's Chevy about to hit 1 million miles

Ok, you people who claim to drive your cars into the ground before buying a new one... Can you compete with this guy?

Bonus: He bought the truck used.

Its a Chevy. Thats all we drive for that reason. We have never had one fail before. I had a Chevette that I sold when it had over 300,000 on it-and the odimeter (sp) had been broken for a time.

Isn't that something? I can't image driving that much. 85,000 works out to 233 miles per day, and I'd guess he doesn't drive every day of the year. Still it's really amazing to see someone hit that milestone as it happens so infrequently.

Years ago I knew a guy who had well over a million miles on an old civic (circa 1976), he did so little maintenance on it, but drove constantly, it seemed. I also knew a man who had just shy of a million miles on a Ford Festiva, but then his wife totalled it!

We've got 500,000 on an old Honda, but parts are getting hard to find and we don't drive it all that much, so I doubt we will drive it to a million!
